Why Have a Property Survey?

A property survey gives you an independent assessment of a property’s condition before you commit to buying, selling or carrying out major work.

It helps identify significant defects, maintenance issues and areas that may require further investigation, allowing you to make informed decisions and avoid unexpected costs later.

Clear Findings

Reports explain what we’ve found, why it matters and what happens next.

Your Survey Report

Your report explains the condition of the property, highlights any significant defects and identifies areas that may require repair, maintenance or further investigation.

Where appropriate, we explain the likely implications of our findings so you can decide what happens next. If you have any questions after reading the report, you can discuss it directly with your surveyor.

Experienced Residential Surveyors

Our surveyors inspect a wide range of residential properties, from modern apartments and new-build homes to period cottages, listed buildings and larger family houses. Every property is different, which is why we recommend the survey that’s appropriate for its age, construction and condition.

Understanding how different properties have been built helps us identify defects that may otherwise be overlooked. The advice you receive is based on what we’ve found during the inspection, helping you understand the property’s condition before making your next decision.

We regularly carry out surveys for first-time buyers, home movers, homeowners, landlords, property investors, executors, solicitors and mortgage advisers. Whatever stage you’re at, we’ll recommend the survey that’s appropriate for your circumstances.
