About Viking Surveyors

Buying a property is one of the biggest financial commitments you’ll ever make, so understanding its condition before you commit is essential.

Viking Surveyors provides independent RICS Home Surveys, Building Surveys, Specific Defect Surveys, New Build Snagging Surveys and RICS Red Book Valuations across England.

Our reports explain a property’s condition in clear, practical language, helping you understand any significant defects, maintenance requirements and the next steps before you proceed.

Independent RICS Chartered Surveyors

Every survey is carried out by an experienced RICS Chartered Surveyor or RICS Registered Valuer.

Every inspection is carried out in accordance with recognised RICS professional standards, giving you an independent assessment of the property’s condition or value.

Whether you’re buying your first home, purchasing an older property or require a formal valuation, you’ll receive professional guidance throughout the process.

Clear Reports Without Unnecessary Jargon

A professional survey should help you understand a property, not overwhelm you with technical terminology.

Our reports are written in plain English, explaining defects, maintenance issues and recommendations clearly. If anything isn’t clear, you can discuss the report directly with the surveyor who carried out the inspection.

If you have any questions after receiving your report, you’ll be able to discuss it directly with the surveyor who carried out the inspection.

Local Knowledge Across England

Property varies considerably from one part of the country to another.

From Victorian terraces and listed buildings to modern developments and rural cottages, our surveyors have experience inspecting a wide variety of residential properties across England.

Understanding how properties have been built in different parts of the country helps us recognise common defects, construction methods and maintenance issues that can affect buyers.

Helping You Choose the Right Survey

Not every property requires the same level of inspection.

A modern house in good condition may only require a RICS Level 2 Home Survey, while an older property, listed building or home that has been significantly altered may be better suited to a RICS Level 3 Building Survey. If you’re concerned about a specific issue, such as cracking or damp, a Specific Defect Survey may be more appropriate.

If you’re unsure which survey you need, we’ll be happy to discuss the property and recommend the most suitable option before preparing your quotation.
