Ensure Your New-Build Property Is Up To Scratch
What Is
A Snagging Survey?
‘Snagging’ refers to the period of type following the completion of a new build, where minor or major issues may arise with the property that have been overlooked during the development process. A Snagging Survey can be used to ensure that the property is entirely fit for purpose and is safe to move into.
Our surveys can help to identify any issues that do not meet warranty standards, where we can also spot breaches in building regulations, outstanding work and any remedial issues that should be fixed before you move in.

What Will The Survey Cover?
Our surveys are highly comprehensive and cover a range of areas, including structural elements, fixtures and fittings, paint, windows and doors, garages and gardens/outdoor spaces.
We will highlight a range of problems from minor issues – such as paint chips and loose door handles – to major defects such as poor brickwork and defective wiring.

When Should I Have The Report Done?
We recommend getting a snagging report done as soon as possible, before contracts are signed and exchanged.
However, some developers will not allow a survey to be carried out before completion. In these cases, we recommend booking a survey as soon as possible (no later than two years after completion/moving in), so that any issues can be remedied under warranty.
